Update on the developer correspondence

We sent out our first newsletter update to all subscribers last week. Here’s what it said…

Many of you will have seen from our website and on social media that we sent an email letter on behalf of the Four And No More in Boxmoor campaign group to London & Continental Railways (LCR) and Network Rail outlining our concerns regarding the regeneration of the station site in Boxmoor. You can read the letter here.

The reply we received

To their credit the LCR Partnerships & Property Director replied promptly and agreed to discuss the issues further. They acknowledged it would be important and beneficial for a meeting to take place and the email included the following message:

Thank you also for your interest in the proposed development and it’s clear that you have a vested interest in how the development will look, feel and function and be part of Hemel’s future landscape for generations to come.’

Our next steps

A small FANM committee group will meet with the LCR representatives in September and discuss the proposed development. The meeting will take place in Boxmoor, hopefully overlooking the station site for added impact! We will be talking to them about this group and the community it represents, the local support we have garnered plus the previous DBC consultations that resulted in our Four And No More name. We will be polite, respectful and firm. We will also listen. Let’s see what they have to say.

We’ll stay in touch

We will report back to you all as soon as we can following the meeting. Have a question or concern? Drop us a line via the Facebook page, or email us at info@fourandnomore.org
